Sustainability
At MxL, we take a sustainable approach to how we work — from how we design, manufacture, and install projects to how we run our office day-to-day.
We go beyond basic compliance by building sustainability into the decisions we make at every stage of a project.
Designing & Building Smarter
The biggest environmental impact we can make is in how things are built. That’s why, wherever possible, we:
- Build using responsibly sourced timber that can be reused, adapted and reconfigured across multiple shows
- Reuse and refurbish stock items, components and structures from previous projects
- Advise clients on build approaches that work long-term, not just for a single event
This approach doesn’t just reduce waste and extend the life of materials — it’s also significantly more cost-effective, helping clients get more value from their investment.
Why We Choose Timber Over Aluminium Frame Systems
Timber is a renewable, responsibly sourced material that can be reused, repaired and reworked over multiple projects — making it a more sustainable choice than aluminium frame systems, which rely more heavily on energy-intensive production and recycling.
It supports a more practical, long-term approach to manufacturing — and also gives complete freedom to create fully bespoke, high-quality stands, without the design limits and poorer finish of frame systems.
Waste & Recycling
We work with licensed waste partners and prioritise recycling, with the vast majority of workshop and build waste diverted from landfill.
Paper & Packaging
We minimise paper use and reduce packaging wherever possible, focusing on practical, low-waste solutions.
Transport & Logistics
We plan deliveries and installations efficiently to reduce unnecessary travel and transport wherever possible.
